Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Tunisian Professional League 1 giants Esperance and Étoile Sportive du Sahel are fighting for the signature of Enyimba goal poacher Chukwuemeka Obioma.

Obioma made a splash last season, winning the Nigerian Premier League Golden Boot with sixteen goals to his name, comprising fourteen in the regular season and two in the playoffs.

His form has not gone unnoticed, with clubs based in Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Egypt interested in his signature.

Enyimba are aware that Obioma is being sought after by foreign clubs and have placed an asking price of US$250,000.00 (approximately N194 million) on the 24-year-old.

Esperance and Étoile Sportive du Sahel are aware of Obioma’s valuation, the duo have not made official bids to the Nigerian champions but have held discussions with the player’s intermediaries.

The striker wants to embark on a new chapter in his career, despite the possibility of playing in the group stage of the CAF Champions League should he remain at Enyimba for the 2023-2024 campaign.

Obioma is represented by Nigerian agent Samuel Ogbah of Activity Chambers.

Chukwuemeka Obioma terminates Enyimba contract

LAGOS, Nigeria – The current highest goalscorer of the Nigerian Premier league Chukwuemeka Obioma of Enyimba has terminated his contract with the current Nigerian Premier League champions with Just Cause.

Revealing this to the press, Mr. Samuel E Ogbah of the law firm Activity Chambers, Obioma’s legal representatives said the striker has moved on with his career after ending his two year stint with the Aba giants.

“Our client has terminated his contract with Just Cause and is now free to join any club he wishes to join as he is no longer an Enyimba player.

“We followed the correct legal procedure and even FIFA was notified at all times so due process was followed.

“Besides, he signed a two year contract with the club and the second season of that two year contract was the just concluded season and ordinarily, on that fact alone, he is entitled to leave on a Bosman free.

“Mr. Obioma wishes to thank Enyimba International for their love and support. As an Aba boy through and through Enyimba is a club very dear to his heart and he will always be an Enyimba supporter”, his lawyer said.
