The Eagles of Carthage beat Libya 1-0 in the first match of the second leg of the knock-out stage of the Africa Championship of Nations 2016 (CHAN 2016).

The players of the Tunisian national team, coached by Henryk Kasperczak, showed a good command of the game although they did not manage to impose their own rhytmn on the rival team for the entire length of the match.

Saâd Bguir scored fifteen minutes before the end of the match, making the most of a combination by Mohamed Amine Ben Amor. Tunisia which will play Morocco on October 25, finished the match with 10 players after Yassine Meriah was sent off in the 84th minute.

This victory increased the chances of Tunisia qualifying at the end of the knock-out stage.
