Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST) edged hosts Club Africain (CA) 2-0 in the capital's derby at the Stade Olympique de Rades, on Wednesday 14th October 2010.
Moëz Ben Chérifia's saves denied CA and Sabeur Khélifa scoring chances in the first half. On Espérance's end, Taha Yassine Khénissi missed a scoring opportunity in the first half and hit the post in the second before Saâd Beguir's free kick, in turn, hit the crossbar.

CA's Imed Meniaoui responded with a ball that clipped the post, too, a few minutes before Yassine Mikari was shown the red card by referee Mohamed Said Kordi who cautioned him twice.

Slightly over ten minutes before the end of the match, the Blood and Gold denied their CA rivals possession of the ball and handed one another about 38 beautiful passes concluded with Fakhreddine Ben Youssef's tapping the ball in after a decisive cross from Iheb Mbarki that crowned Saâd Beguir's effort (78').

Ten minutes later, Idriss Mhirsi doubled Espérance's lead with an amazing long range wonder goal that left the keeper with no chance as the ball went past him into his top-left corner (89').

The Blood and Gold thus make it four wins out of five and take their tally to 12 points behind Ligue 1 leaders Club Sportif Sfaxien (CSS) who won all of their five matches accumulating 15 points.

Espérance lineup: Ben Chérifia, Mbarki, Rabiî, Dhaouadi, Machani, Ragued (c), Coulibaly, Sissoko (Rejaïbi 46'), Beguir (Mhirsi 87'), Ben Youssef (Chaâlali 87') and Khenissi.

Yellow cards: Mbarki, Coulibaly, Machani and Ben Youssef.
