Having finished in the top two, Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST) will represent Tunisia in the 2017 CAF Champions League. The Tunisian giants who won the title twice (1994 and 2011) are back to Africa's top-tier competition after they plied their trade in 2016 in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Etoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS), who won the title once (2007), are Tunisia's other representative in the Champions League.
Club Sportif Sfaxien (CSS), who finished third, will participate in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup. The second representative will be known after Tunisia's cup finals.
Both continental competitions will have a new format as of 2017.
