Less than one week after the resumption of team training, Esperance's Ghanaian defensive midfielder Kwame Bonsu was injured and had to undergo meniscus surgery.

Bonsu will be sidelined for up to six weeks before he could join his teammates again.

The successful procedure will require about 4 to 6 weeks of physical therapy.
