Espérance Sportive de Tunis defeated Guinea's Horoya Conakry 3-1 at a CAF Champions League 16th finals first-leg game played on Saturday evening in Rades.

Goals were scored by Ferjani Sassi (20', 54') and Fakhreddine Ben Youssef (75') for Esperance ST and Yacouba Manda (24') for Horoya Conakry.

The second-leg game is scheduled for March 19 in Conakry.
