Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST) registered, on Saturday 26th September 2015, their second Ligue 1 win against US Ben Guerdane (USBG). Taha Yassine Khenissi scored the opener from the penalty spot (59') and Driss Mhirsi doubled Espérance's lead 26 minutes later (85'). Final score: USBG - EST (0-2).
The referee surprisingly turned a blind eye on US Ben Guerdane's ultra-aggressive style! Nasr Allah Jaouadi could easily have sent USBG karate keeper off after two aggressions against Machani (11') and Mbarki (26'), but his indifference encouraged Ouertani and other USBG players to go on with their violent 'football'. Luckily the Blood and Gold stayed cool and did not retaliate. Things could have turned too ugly!
Espérance lineup: Helal, Mbarki, Chammam, Machani, Dhaouadi, Ragued (c), Coulibaly, Beguir (Ounelli 77'), Rejaïbi (Reguiî 77'), Sissoko (Mhirsi 46') and Khenissi.
