Espérance Sportive de Tunis continued their fine run of form with another solid and entertaining performance, defeating CA Bizertin 2-0 at the Radès Stadium on Thursday afternoon in Matchday 11 of the Ligue 1. From the very first minutes, the tone was set. Maher Kanzari’s men took control of possession and moved the ball around with pace and precision, constantly putting the Bizerte defence under pressure. Persistence finally paid off again in stoppage time. From a quickly taken free kick, Ogbelu burst into the box and played a smart cutback to Jabri, who struck the ball first-time with power and precision to seal the 2-0 victory (90’).

It was a fitting end to a match fully controlled by Espérance, who once again showed their collective strength and attacking creativity. With this win, the Blood and Gold move up to 24 points, just one point behind leaders Stade Tunisien.
