Espérance Sportive de Tunis continued their fine run of form with another solid and entertaining performance, defeating CA Bizertin 2-0 at the Radès Stadium on Thursday afternoon in Matchday 11 of the Ligue 1. The Blood and Gold displayed class and authority throughout, delivering a collective masterclass that thrilled the home fans and confirmed their growing momentum.

From the very first minutes, the tone was set. Maher Kanzari’s men took control of possession and moved the ball around with pace and precision, constantly putting the Bizerte defence under pressure. Jebali (6’) and Danho (12’) came close early on, while the relentless waves of Espérance attacks left the visitors gasping for air. In the 25th minute, Danho was inches away from scoring as his powerful curling strike crashed against the left post.

CAB tried to respond with a few counterattacks, but the Espérance backline was alert and firm. The breakthrough came five minutes before halftime: Danho’s clever pass found Boualia in space, and the forward coolly lobbed the advancing goalkeeper to make it 1-0 (41’). A deserved lead that reflected the Blood and Gold’s dominance, even if the scoreline didn’t fully mirror their superiority.

The second half saw more of the same-total control and plenty of flair. Belaïli was a constant threat, tormenting defenders with his dribbles and vision, while Espérance kept creating chances that narrowly missed the target. At the 61st minute, a clear foul on Belaïli by the last defender only resulted in a yellow card, to the disbelief of the home crowd.

Persistence finally paid off again in stoppage time. From a quickly taken free kick, Ogbelu burst into the box and played a smart cutback to Jabri, who struck the ball first-time with power and precision to seal the 2-0 victory (90’).

It was a fitting end to a match fully controlled by Espérance, who once again showed their collective strength and attacking creativity. With this win, the Blood and Gold move up to 24 points, just one point behind leaders Stade Tunisien.

Confident, fluid, and full of belief, Espérance de Tunis are clearly back to their best, ready to chase the top spot and delight their supporters once more.
