Espérance de Tunis have added yet another trophy to their already glittering cabinet. By defeating Stade Tunisien 1-0 tonight at the Radès Stadium, the Blood and Gold secured the 2024-2025 Tunisian Super Cup, completing a remarkable domestic treble this season.

From the very start, Espérance took control of the game. The first major threat came as early as the 12th minute: after a perfect cross from Jabri, Konaté found himself alone in front of an empty net but astonishingly missed the target. Despite their dominance, the Blood and Gold had to stay alert as, at the half-hour mark, Youssef Touré missed a good opportunity for Stade Tunisien.

The breakthrough came in the 36th minute. Following a mistake by goalkeeper Farhati, Belaïli pounced on the loose ball and fired towards goal. A Stade Tunisien defender blocked the shot with his hand, leaving the referee with no choice but to award a penalty. Belaïli stepped up (39’) and coolly sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 1-0. Espérance went into the break with a deserved lead.

The second half saw a drop in tempo, with more fouls and technical errors creeping in. Chances were scarce until the 80th minute when Belaïli delivered a delightful pass to Tka, whose shot was brilliantly denied by Farhati. Just two minutes later, Diakité missed an incredible chance, heading over from close range after a perfect cross by Ben Hamida.

Despite these missed opportunities, Espérance managed the game efficiently until the final whistle. The Blood and Gold emerged victorious, lifting the Super Cup — their third trophy of the 2024-2025 season after the league title and the Tunisian Cup.

This triumph further underlines Espérance’s dominance on the domestic scene and sets the tone for an exciting campaign ahead, both locally and on the continental stage. Congratulations to the players and staff for achieving this historic treble!
