The curtain fell this afternoon on the 2024/2025 Ligue 1 season at the Radès Stadium in an atmosphere of pure celebration. While the match itself offered little in terms of excitement on the pitch, the real spectacle unfolded in the stands, where the Blood and Gold faithful paid a rousing tribute to their team’s 34th national league title, secured a week earlier. Songs, choreographed displays, flares, and relentless chants transformed the venue into a cauldron of joy.

Chances were few and far between over the 90 minutes. US Monastir came close in the 16th minute when Iyed Hadj Khelifa fired a shot narrowly wide, though Espérance keeper Amen-Allah Memmiche appeared to have it covered. Just before halftime, the home side had two good opportunities: one at 45’+3 through Achref Jabri — after great perseverance from Konaté — but the finish was lacking; and another a minute later when Elyas Mokwana’s technical move was mishandled and easily collected by the visiting keeper.

In the second half, head coach Maher Kanzari introduced Youcef Belaïli and Yan Sasse to inject some energy into the attack. Sasse delivered a powerful long-range effort in the 60th minute, which was safely caught by Lahlaoui. Beyond that, chances remained scarce in a match that seemed to exist mainly as a backdrop to the celebrations.

The real highlight was off the pitch. Throughout the game, the Espérance supporters lit up the stadium with their passion, creating a vibrant, electric atmosphere that rendered the on-field action almost secondary. From dazzling displays to nonstop chanting, they reminded the world why they are among the most passionate fanbases on the continent.

The match ended in a goalless draw (0-0), a result that suited both sides. But no one cared much about the scoreline. All eyes turned to the trophy ceremony, as players, coaching staff, and club officials lifted the league title under the roar of their adoring fans. It was a moment of unity, pride, and celebration — a fitting conclusion to a dominant domestic campaign.

With Ligue 1 glory now sealed, Espérance de Tunis set their sights on the next goal: winning the Tunisian Cup. The Blood and Gold are not done yet this season, and the hunger for more silverware remains as strong as ever.
