The tension is rising in Rades on the eve of the crucial first leg of the CAF Champions League final against Al Ahly of Egypt. For this historic match, Espérance Sportive de Tunis coach Miguel Cardoso has delivered a galvanizing speech to his players and supporters, calling for a general mobilization to achieve an African dream.

In front of a horde of journalists and media, Cardoso first highlighted the immensity of the event: "The massive presence of journalists and media alone shows the importance of the event we are about to experience. It's a Champions League final, a unique moment in the history of our club."

Proud of the journey his players have made since the beginning of the season, the Portuguese coach then emphasized the ambition that must drive them: "We are very proud of our journey so far. Today, we have a dream and my players are the filmmakers of that dream. But it's no use dreaming if there's no ambition behind it to make that dream come true."

Cardoso then insisted on his role as coach and the meticulous preparation for this final: "My role as coach is to help my players achieve this dream. We are in the final, and the rule is that finals are not played, they are won. This challenge will obviously be very difficult, but we are ready to take it on. During the week, we worked on all aspects, technical-tactical, mental, etc., and nothing was left to chance. The match is actually easy to prepare for given its importance to the players. At this level, it will be decided on details that could tip the result one way or the other. It's up to us to produce our best football to maximize our chances."

Finally, Cardoso made a vibrant appeal to the Blood and Gold supporters to be the 12th man on the pitch: "The final is also an important event for the supporters, which is why I want the stadium to be full for them to enjoy and for them to help us as they know so well how to do. With their unwavering support, I am convinced that we can achieve something great."

Cardoso's message is clear: Espérance is ready to take on the challenge and write a new glorious page in its history. With the support of its supporters, the blood and gold club has all the weapons to win against Al Ahly.

See you tomorrow night at the Stade Olympique de Radès for an unforgettable evening!
