The tension is rising as the major event of this weekend approaches: the first leg of the CAF Champions League final between Espérance de Tunis and Al Ahly of Egypt. Throughout the country, supporters, sportsmen and enthusiasts have only one topic of conversation: this long-awaited continental final.

In Tunis, the fervor is palpable. The most devoted fans have already planned their trip to Cairo to attend the return match. Some even spent the night in front of the ticket offices of the El Menzah stadium, hoping to get their precious ticket at dawn. Annual subscribers were the luckiest, but for others, less than 10,000 tickets were initially available, insufficient for the overwhelming demand. In response to this situation, the authorities had to give in and put 7,000 additional seats on sale. A welcome measure, but still far from satisfying all football fans.

Yesterday evening, the Al Ahly delegation arrived in Tunis. They were warmly welcomed by President Hamdi Meddeb, who wished to emphasize the friendship between the two clubs and, on a personal level, between himself and his counterpart and friend, Mahmoud El Khatib. Mr. Meddeb also confirmed that all Al Ahly supporters present in Tunis will benefit from facilities to access the Radès stadium free of charge. This initiative also aims to encourage a massive movement of Blood and Gold supporters to Cairo for the return match, a week later.

Meanwhile, the Espérance de Tunis players are preparing with rigor and concentration. Under the leadership of coach Cardoso, they are working away from the spotlight, shielded from media pressure. The objective is clear: to approach this final with serenity and determination.

Everywhere, impatience is at its height. The streets, the cafes, the discussions are dominated by the anticipation of this titanic duel. Everyone is eager to be there and support the Blood and Gold in their quest for African glory. This Saturday evening's first leg promises to be an unforgettable spectacle, rich in emotions and passion.

Espérance de Tunis is ready for the challenge. All eyes are on the Radès stadium, where history is once again about to be written. The appointment is on Saturday evening at 8:00 pm.
