(TAP) - The MoU for the organisation of the African Volleyball Clubs Champions Championship (men and women), due March and April 2017 in Tunisia, was signed Thursday between the Tunisian Volleyball Federation (French: FTVB), Espérance de Tunis (EST) and the Carthage Women's Club on the one hand, and the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), on the other.

CAVB president Egyptian Amr el Wani said he was confident about the success of the tournaments in terms of organisation and results, calling all parties to contribute to this success in order to send a strong message to the world to show that the African volleyball is doing very well, reports EST on its official site.

FTVB President Firas el Faleh pointed out for his part, "the importance of organising this kind of competitions given its sporting aspect and for the image of our country that we absolutely want to improve and prove to the whole world that Tunisia can organise sport competitions safely."

EST will organise, March 15-28, the Africa Cup of clubs (men) qualifier to the FIVB Club World Cup 2017, while the Carthage Women's Club will organise the competition reserved for Ladies, April 4-18.
