Tunisia's national soccer team will play Egypt at a friendly next January 8.

The Egyptian Football Federation reported Monday evening that Coach of Egypt, Hector Cooper has agreed to playing a warmup game with Tunisia next January 8 without specifying the venue of the match, as part of both teams' preparations for the AFCON 2017 scheduled from January 14 to February 5, 2017 in Gabon.

Tunisia will play at AFCON 2017 in Group B with Algeria, Senegal and Zimbabwe, while Egypt were drawn in Group D alongside Ghana, Uganda and Mali.

President of the Tunisian Football Federation, Wadii Jari, announced last week in a private radio that the last phase of preparation of the Carthage Eagles in anticipation of AFCON 2017 will take place in Egypt or Spain.
