Azam FC head coach Stewart Hall is satisfied with his team's coming down from 0-1 to finally win the first leg against Espérance 2-1. "We made the mistakes in the wee hours of the match by allowing our opponents to control the match. But we later came to our best level and pushed for goals," Stewart told Citizen.

The British coach offers an explanation of his change of tactics. "I was compelled to use 4-3-3 formation as we’re without defender Shomari Kapombe, who is injured, the formation worked well since we scored our first goal, and we got the second after we reverted to 3-5-2," reports Daily News.

Stewart is upbeat ahead of the second leg in Radès. "We have an advantage, but we have to work harder in order to see them off. It is always difficult playing in Tunis, but we will make sure that we are mentally and physically fit for the showdown" said Hall to Citizen.

Despite the first leg defeat, Espérance remain favourites and are expected to finish the job at home.
