Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST) came out on top in the battle against Étoile Olympique de Sidi Bouzid (EOSB) in a Day 9 match of Tunisia's Ligue 1.
Taha Yassine Khenissi scored the opener for Espérance from the spot (44'). In the second half, Iheb Mbarki made it 2-0 for the blood and Gold (71').
The match was suspended 9 minutes before the end (81') after assistant referee Aymen Ismaïl sustained a head injury. He was hit by a stone as EO Sidi Bouzid fans threw objects towards the pitch in protest against the referee's decisions.
Espérance are set to be handed a 0-3 win after the calling off of the match.
