EST vs. JSO: (4 - 0) Full confidence ahead of the Derby!

Espérance de Tunis produced a commanding performance this Thursday at the Radès Stadium, defeating JS Omrane 4-0 in Matchday 13 of the Tunisian Ligue 1. A clear and convincing victory that confirms the Blood and Gold’s fine momentum and growing confidence ahead of the much-anticipated capital derby.

From the start, Maher Kanzari’s men took control of the match, dictating the tempo through sharp passing and high pressing. However, despite their territorial dominance, Espérance struggled to penetrate a compact and well-organized JS Omrane defense.
A few half-chances from Belaïli, Jebali, and Jabri failed to make the difference, as the visiting goalkeeper Montassar Essid held firm.
The goalless first half left a sense of frustration among the Blood and Gold faithful, as the team’s superiority had not yet translated into goals.

At the restart, coach Kanzari made the right calls, introducing Yan Sasse and Houssem Tka - a move that instantly transformed the team’s attacking rhythm.
Barely five minutes later, Espérance were awarded a penalty after Belaïli was fouled inside the box, with the VAR confirming the decision. The Algerian forward took responsibility and converted confidently from the spot in the 50th minute to make it 1-0.

The opener completely freed the team. At the 61st minute, a long ball from Ogbelu found Sasse, whose clever header set up Jebali who unleashed a thunderous first-time shot into the top corner - a stunning goal to double the lead at 2-0.

Espérance continued to dominate and entertain. In the 69th minute, a lightning-fast counter-attack initiated by Sasse ended with Maâcha drilling a powerful left-footed shot past the keeper for 3-0.
Even in stoppage time, the Blood and Gold didn’t ease up. Houssem Tka, ever lively since coming on, capped off the match with a well-taken goal in the 90’+4 minute to seal the emphatic 4-0 triumph.

With this convincing win, Espérance de Tunis maintain their lead at the top of the table with 30 points, three ahead of their closest rivals.
More than just the scoreline, it was the overall performance - solid, fluid, and clinical - that stood out. The team now heads into the capital derby brimming with confidence and belief, ready to continue their winning run in style.
