Espérance Sportive de Tunis were placed in Group "A" with Egypt's Al-Ahly, Cameroon's Minuh, Congo's Caiman and Rwanda's Police at the draw for the African Handball Champions League made on Wednesday in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
Group B is made up of holders Egypt's Zamalek, Morocco's Widad Smara, Cameroon's FAP, DR Congo's JSK and Burkina Faso's AS Douanes.
Top four finishers of each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. The 38th edition will take place from October 21 to 30, 2016 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
The last edition was won by Zamalek who defeated Tunisia's Club Africain 35-22 at the final, while Esperance had finished fourth.
